Westbourne European Expansion

Following on from its highly successful inaugural year in the European Clio Cup Series, Westbourne Motorsport announced bold new plans for 2026.

Having secured four grid slots in Europe’s premier one make series, the team have expanded its operation to attract new drivers and sponsors for the seven round championship featuring some of the very best circuits across, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and the series finale at Portimao, Portugal.

Alongside the team’s technical expertise, built over two decades of race winning Clio Cup performance, the team plan an all new hospitality experience to engage sponsors and assist drivers to secure the funding for a motorsport career.

The team welcome potential new drivers to compare the affordability of the legendary series with Westbourne against other championships in the UK.

One of the key attractions for drivers is the prize fund of over £100,000 available.

Team Principal Richard Colburn commented “We had a fabulous first season in 2025 with plenty of silverware along the way. We now have the in depth knowledge of the European tracks and the data needed to consistently run at the front so 2026 is an exciting prospect.

Our plans include a new exciting hospitality area to offer sponsors real return on their investment. The way the meetings are organised, with grid walks and pit lane access available for every race, really bring the events alive for guests.

We are now seeking additional drivers to join our test programme and will be announcing dates shortly.”
